Disability Inclusion in the ESL Classroom

The human race is varied and diverse, and so are our classrooms - so let's not treat learners as a monolith! In this workshop, teachers are introduced to the social model of disability, which shows us how people are disabled by their environment. Through this framework, we will unpick the barriers to learning that can arise in the ELT setting and the role of the teacher in dismantling them.

• The role of the teacher in making learning accessible to all 

 

This workshop is perfect for  English teachers who have built up knowledge and confidence about language, but feel out of their depth when faced with the realities of different learning styles, ways of thinking and accessibility needs that are inevitable in the classroom (both with kids and adults!)
